Community dialogues are intended to provide the opportunity for individual residents of the Denver metro area to engage in dialogue with neighbors, co-workers, friends, and others about a topic related to public education. Community dialogues are open and should not be facilitated in order to direct a conversation in any particular direction. Instead, each participant should be given the opportunity to share their own thoughts, experiences, and ideas in response to a prompt or question provided by DJEC. The provided question or prompt is the same for each community dialogue hosted for an issue of the Journal.

As a voice in local education discourse, our programs strive to connect cutting-edge scholarship and policy to the real-world challenges and opportunities facing educators and communities in Denver and beyond.
This work doesn’t happen without thoughtful and caring community members like you.
You are the foundation of our new organizational sustainability model—and aid us in covering everything from the journalism itself to community building and original research. But, most importantly, your support allows our writers and supporting contractors the time they need to dig deep into the issues that matter and develop world-class solutions.
Please consider contributing where it makes sense for you or your organization.
